The Bible always was, at the same time, a very intriguing text to me - but also confusing and conflicting at the same time. Even when people much more knowlegeable about the Bible would try to explain parts of it to me - I still wouldn’t be convinced by their explanations, such as “God works in mysterious ways” - ummm, thats not an explanation, its an avoidance.
